~*~ Welcome to Surabaya! ~*~
Welcome to my hometown, Surabaya! It's the capital of East Java and the second-largest city in Indonesia. Surabaya is famously known as "Kota Pahlawan" (the "City of Heroes") because of the importance of the Battle of Surabaya in galvanizing Indonesian support for independence during the Indonesian National Revolution.

Tugu Pahlawan is one of the main landmarks of the city, it was created to commemmorate the heroes who liberated Surabaya from the colonizers in the battle of Surabaya at November 10th 1945

Surabaya has always been a major trading hub in Southeast Asia. The Port of Tanjung Perak is one of the busiest in the country. The city is a vibrant mix of modern skyscrapers, colonial-era buildings, and bustling traditional markets. It's a city that never sleeps!
